FIONA VROOM

Biography

The incomparable Fiona Vroom has quickly made a name for herself in the entertainment industry for the diverse and engaging characters she brings to life on screen. From working alongside Christoph Waltz, Nicolas Cage, and Vera

Farmiga, and being directed by Tim Burton and Justin Lin, Fiona’s presence transcends from set to the screen, and she isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Fiona loved performing from a very young age. Her parents, an electrician and a bookkeeper, wanted to nurture their daughter’s creative spirit and put her into ballet classes at five years old. She

trained in dance for years, and went on to study at the Canadian College of Performing Arts. Under the direction of Jacques Lemay, Fiona danced and sung her way through 21 countries. While singing and dancing were always two of

her greatest passions, Fiona wanted to explore acting and creating characters.

Fiona has appeared in numerous television productions including Nickelodeon's 'Are You Afraid of the Dark", Netflix's "Altered Carbon", Amazon's "Man in the High Castle", Fox's 'The X-Files", BBC America's “Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency”, A&E's "Bates Motel", AMC's 'Hell on Wheels", The CW's "Supernatural" and "iZombie", and USA Networks "Psych". She can also be seen in the feature films "Power Rangers" (Lionsgate), "Star Trek Beyond" (Paramount), and "Big Eyes" (Tim Burton).

While working on camera is one of Fiona’s greatest loves, she also has her hand in producing. In 2014, her web series “The True Heroines” received two Leo Award nominations for Best Actress and Best Series, the latter of which took

home the award. “The True Heroines” was also nominated for a Canadian Screen Award, that same year. In 2019, Fiona premiered her new short film Dance with a Demon at the Dance with Film Festival in Los Angeles. This beautiful film, which explores a mothers psyche through dance, has since screened at numerous film festivals.

Next, keep your eyes peeled for Fiona when she appears as Miss Gillies in TNT’s Snowpiercer alongside Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs.
